Brighton man arrested on multiple charges, including racial abuse and criminal damage

Authorities have arrested a Brighton man following an investigation into claims of racial abuse, criminal damage and theft.

The Sussex Police reported that they received a complaint on April 20th about a woman who was subjected to racial abuse and harassment. The victim also reported damage to her vehicle, which took place on Lewes Road, Brighton.

Following a thorough investigation, authorities identified a suspect in the case. On June 7th, the suspect was spotted on London Road, also in Brighton.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police commented on the incident: “A 42-year-old man from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of three counts of theft from a shop, racially/religiously aggravated public order, criminal damage and possession of a Class B drug.”

He has since been released on conditional bail as the investigation continues. The conditions of his bail have not been disclosed at this time.
