The Brunswick Festival, an annual celebration, took place on Saturday, August 17th, and Sunday, August 18th, 2024. Nestled in the heart of Brighton & Hove, this lively community event marked its 42nd anniversary.
The festival kicked off with a performance by Ukranian choir, Kolo, followed by an electrifying performance by B’more McVowty and his World Music Express, spinning tunes that resonated across cultures. The beats continued on Sunday, with more musical acts and local talents gracing the stage.

The Brunswick Festival isn’t just about music; it’s a celebration of the local community. Visitors explored stalls, sampled delicious food, and connected with fellow festival-goers. Whether you were browsing handmade crafts or savouring global flavours, the festival buzzed with camaraderie.

Veronica Stephens, the Festival Director, dedicates her free time year-round to help make this event a success. Thanks also go out to the team of local residents and volunteers the festival would not happen. She went on to state “The Brunswick Festival isn’t just an event; it’s a joyous celebration of the diversity of our neighbourhood that creates a tapestry of memories woven by the community. Until next year, keep the rhythm alive! “.
