Police Appeal for Witnesses after Woman Suffers Head Injury in Crawley Assault

Crawley Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on a woman in the evening of Friday 24 February. The incident took place in the vicinity of Hudson Road or Hawth Avenue around 9.15 pm. The victim suffered a head injury as a result of the assault.

Investigating officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed the assault or has any information about the incident to come forward. They are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have captured the suspect on CCTV, doorbell or dash cam footage.

According to PC Gemma Sutton, of the Crawley Safeguarding Investigation Unit, the victim was known to the suspect at the time of the assault. Sutton also stated that the incident is not thought to be related to any other incidents.

The police have arrested a 51-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent in connection with the assault. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are urging anyone with information to contact them as soon as possible.
