An easyJet flight scheduled to travel from London Gatwick (LGW) to Dubrovnik (DBV) was forced to make an emergency landing back at Gatwick this morning just after take off.
There are unconfirmed reports suggesting that the EasyJet Airbus A320 experienced hydraulic problems that potentially posed a risk to the landing gear during takeoff. The flight, known as U26427, departed from Gatwick Airport at 8:12 AM local time, according to data from the flight tracking site Flight Radar 24.

Shortly after takeoff, the flight entered a holding pattern south East of Gatwick. The EasyJet flight crew subsequently declared a squawk code 7700, signaling an emergency situation.
To prepare for a safe landing, the flight consumed the excess fuel required to reach Dubrovnik Airport (DBV) before initiating its approach back to LGW. At 8:50 AM local time, the plane successfully landed at Gatwick Airport without any further incidents. Emergency services at Gatwick Airport met the aircraft.
Further updates on the situation will be provided as they become available.
