Authorities confirm disruption at St Peter’s Church was non-violent.

A 62-year-old man from Hove has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker following a disturbance during a midnight Christmas Eve service at St Peter’s Church, Shelley Road, Brighton.

Police were called shortly after midnight to reports of a man disrupting the service. Upon arrival, officers detained the suspect, who was arrested at the scene.

Following investigations and engagement with individuals present at the church, authorities confirmed that the incident was not religiously aggravated. There were no reports of violence associated with the disturbance.
