Emergency services were called to Celandine Close, Crawley, late last night following reports of a stabbing that left one man injured. The incident occurred around 9 p.m., prompting a swift response from both police and paramedics.

The victim, who sustained an injury to his arm, was transported to the hospital for treatment. While the severity of the injury has not been disclosed, it is understood that the man’s condition is not life-threatening.

Increased Police Presence as Search for Suspect Continues

Sussex Police have confirmed that efforts are ongoing to locate the individual responsible for the attack. Residents in the area have been advised to expect a heightened police presence as investigators conduct inquiries and patrols.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police provided further details, saying, “Police received a report of a man having been stabbed in Celandine Close, Crawley, at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18. Emergency services attended the scene, and a man was taken to hospital by ambulance with an injury to his arm.”

The force emphasised the importance of community cooperation, urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. “Work is ongoing to locate a suspect, and there will be an increased police presence in the area while this is underway. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could help is asked to contact police online or via 101, quoting serial 1371 of 18/12,” the spokesperson added.
