Police are reaching out to potential witnesses following the apprehension of a man in connection with a stabbing incident in Crawley.
Emergency services responded to a call on Wednesday, September 27th, at approximately 12 pm, reporting a stabbing at an address on Barley Close. At the scene, a 19-year-old man was found with a leg wound and subsequently transported to the hospital. Thankfully, his injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening, and he remains under medical care.
A 46-year-old man, who currently has no fixed address, was taken into custody on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm. He has been released on conditional bail and is required to return on December 21st, pending further investigation.
Police believe this incident to be isolated and not indicative of a broader threat to public safety.
