Police Car Collides with Lorry in Brighton

Old Steine and St James’s Street blocked after major traffic incident this morning.

Brighton, 4th September 2024 – A significant traffic incident occurred this morning in central Brighton, involving a police car and a lorry. The collision took place at the junction of Old Steine and St James’s Street, leading to substantial disruptions in the area.

At approximately 8:45 AM, a Sussex Police car collided with a catering lorry, causing immediate road closures and significant traffic delays. Emergency services, including fire engines and additional police units, were promptly dispatched to the scene to manage the situation and ensure public safety.
