Police seek leads in Lewes dog attack

Police are seeking information regarding an incident in which a man suffered a dog bite in a field situated between Southover and Kingston, near Lewes. The incident took place on 1st September while the victim was jogging on a footpath adjacent to Kingston Road.

The victim sustained a significant injury to his calf and required medical attention at a hospital. Police officers have been in contact with the victim, and investigative efforts are ongoing.

The dog responsible for the attack is believed to be a Rottweiler. It was being walked by a man and a woman, both of whom were white and appeared to be between the ages of 30 and 45. Regrettably, they left the scene without providing any identifying information. Police are now working to ascertain their identities.
