In an appeal to the public, local police are urgently requesting any witnesses, information, or relevant footage following a significant collision that occurred near Chichester Golf Club on Saturday, June 10. The incident, involving three vehicles, took place at approximately 7:40 am on Selsey Road.
The vehicles involved in the collision were a black Audi Q5, a black Kia Picanto, and a grey Range Rover. As a result of the incident, a 52-year-old man from Selsey sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. The victim is now reported to be in a stable condition.
In connection with the incident, a 36-year-old man from Chichester has been arrested under suspicion of causing serious injuries by dangerous driving and exceeding the prescribed limit for drugs. The suspect has since been released on bail, pending further investigations.
Investigating officer PC Tom Van Der Wee said: “We are seeking witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
“In particular, we wish to speak with anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage in the area either during the incident or in the run up to it.
