On Monday evening, Shoreham lifeboats were in action once more. This time, it was the all-weather lifeboat that was called upon to assist a distressed 18-foot motor vessel that had experienced mechanical issues. Initially reported to be adrift five miles offshore, the vessel was eventually located approximately 10 miles southwest of Shoreham Harbour, with four individuals on board.
The all-weather lifeboat towed the troubled vessel towards the entrance of Shoreham Harbour. Subsequently, our inshore lifeboat was deployed to assume control of the tow operation, safely guiding the vessel to its final destination at the Sussex Yacht Club in Shoreham.
