Teenager Stabbed on Halloween Night in Horsham Park

Police Boost Presence in Horsham Park Following Teen Stabbing

A police investigation is underway following the stabbing of a teenager in Horsham Park on Thursday evening, October 31. Officers were alerted to the scene around 6:45 p.m., where they found a teenager with suspected serious injuries. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital, and police are actively working to identify a suspect.

In response to this and other recent incidents, police have increased their presence in Horsham Park. Chief Inspector James Davidson, District Commander for Adur, Worthing, and Horsham, stated, “We are working with partners to ensure that Horsham is a safe place to be. This trend of increased crime cannot, and will not, continue.”

The stabbing follows a concerning spike in criminal activity in the area, including seven robberies reported between September 24 and October 3. During that period, four individuals were arrested, though only two remain under investigation. Another stabbing on October 7 led to three further arrests, with suspects now released on bail under strict conditions.

Chief Inspector Davidson is actively engaging with local schools to provide crime prevention advice and has committed to holding community meetings to boost safety measures in the park. “Our investigation teams are working hard to ensure those responsible are brought to justice,” he added, assuring residents of the increased police patrols. “You can expect to see officers there day and night.”

The public is encouraged to assist with the investigation by providing any information or footage relevant to the incident. Witnesses or those with insights can contact the police online or by calling 101 and referencing Operation Horncastle.
