Tree Crushes Test-Drive Car Near Horsham, Narrowly Avoiding Tragedy

Storm-Damaged Tree Crushes Test-Drive Car, Shocking Motorists on Five Oaks Road

A dramatic incident unfolded yesterday on Five Oaks Road near Horsham when a tree, damaged by recent storms, fell and crushed a car during a test drive. The car, owned by Lyons Farm Cars, was being driven by a customer with their family on board. Miraculously, no one was injured, though those involved were left shaken.

Incident Closes Road, Causes Disruptions

The fallen tree not only caused extensive damage to the vehicle but also led to the closure of Five Oaks Road, frustrating local traffic. Lyons Farm Cars addressed the situation in a statement, urging patience and understanding while the road remains closed.

“You may be wondering why the road is closed on Five Oaks Road and why you cannot get home easily… a tree fell and crushed one of our cars whilst it was on test drive. Everyone is ok if not shaken up,” the statement read.

Frustration Over Driver Behavior

While the dealership expressed relief that no one was hurt, they also voiced disappointment over some motorists’ behavior. “The amount of drivers that have been wheel-spinning in and out of our car park has been a bit disappointing to say the least,” they said. They reminded drivers to be grateful that the tree didn’t fall on them or their loved ones.
