Two Suspects Sought Following Assault in Worthing

Police in Worthing are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a man and woman in the early hours of Thursday, February 23. The incident took place around 2:15am at the Montague Street end of The Royal Arcade, where the victims were attacked by two unknown men.

Members of the public intervened, and the suspects fled the scene. The victims sustained minor injuries and were left shaken by the incident.

An investigation was launched, and officers have been conducting intensive enquiries to identify those involved. It is believed that the two suspects travelled from the direction of the seafront, near Worthing Pier, prior to the assault.

Police are now urging anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area around that time, or anyone with information that could assist with their investigation, to come forward.

If you have any information, you are asked to contact police online or by calling 101, quoting serial number 94 of 23/02. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
