Single-Vehicle Collision Claims Teen’s Life in Westbourne

Police are urging the public to come forward with information following a tragic road collision on Wednesday night, November 27, in Westbourne, which claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy.

Emergency services were called to Emsworth Common Road at around 10:45 pm after a single-vehicle crash involving a red Vauxhall Corsa. Despite valiant efforts by paramedics, the teenage boy, a resident of Emsworth, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is receiving support.

Investigation Into the Westbourne Incident Underway

Three other passengers in the car — two 17-year-old girls and another 16-year-old boy — sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Authorities have confirmed their injuries are not life-threatening.

Officers from Sussex Police are working diligently to piece together the events leading up to the accident. They are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who might have seen the vehicle in the area prior to the collision or who possesses dashcam or CCTV footage that could shed light on the incident.
