In the early hours of this morning, Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) was alerted to a significant barn fire on Norwood Hill Road, Charlwood. The emergency call came in at 00:34, and crews have been on site ever since, battling the blaze.

The fire, located at a farm on Norwood Hill Road, prompted a swift and substantial response from Surrey FRS. Five fire engines were dispatched to the scene, along with an aerial ladder platform and a water carrier to effectively tackle the flames.

The firefighting efforts have been bolstered by SES Water, who have supplied additional water tankers to ensure an adequate water supply for the ongoing operation. This collaboration highlights the critical support provided by local utilities in managing such large-scale incidents.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and there have been no reports of injuries. The fire service has urged the public to avoid the area to allow emergency services to carry out their work safely and efficiently.
