A car collided with a group of children near the car park of ASDA in Brighton Marina around midday on Tuesday, prompting a swift response from emergency services.
A spokeswoman for South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) said: “South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) was called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and pedestrians at Brighton Marina Village shortly before 12:00hrs today (9 December 2025).”Ambulance crews attended, assessed, and treated five patients on scene.”Two patients were taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital and one to Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital for further medical treatment and two were discharged from our care on scene.”
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Emergency services are responding to a collision involving a car and pedestrians at Brighton Marina.”.
The collision happened near the ASDA car park at about midday, and involved a car and a group of four children. Temporary road closures were in place while emergency services respondes to the incident.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with relevant information — including CCTV, dash-cam or mobile phone footage — can report it quoting reference “serial 543 of 09/12”.
