Brighton was shaken on the evening of September 13, 2025, after a 16-year-old boy was seriously injured in a stabbing outside Wiltshire House on Lavender Street. The incident occurred around 5:30 PM when the teenager was with friends and became involved in an altercation with a group of individuals.
The victim sustained a serious stab wound and was rushed to hospital for treatment. Thankfully, he has since been discharged. Police quickly responded to the scene and launched an investigation into the assault.
Sussex Police have arrested four individuals in connection with the incident. Among them, a 15-year-old boy has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, while two others, aged 16 and 17, face assault charges. Due to their ages, the identities of those involved are not being disclosed. Following a hearing at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on September 16, three of the suspects were remanded in custody, with the fourth remaining on bail.
Detective Chief Inspector Alex Campbell stressed the importance of public assistance in resolving the case. “We urge anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has any information, footage, or photos, to come forward,” he said. “Your help can be crucial in ensuring justice is done.”
