Emergency services responded to a distress call at a residential address on Skylark Avenue, Peacehaven, East Sussex, on Monday afternoon. Upon arrival, South East Coast Ambulance Service medics discovered a woman in medical distress. Despite their valiant efforts, she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Sussex Police spokesperson reported, “Despite the efforts of paramedics, the woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The man, aged 40, was apprehended on suspicion of murder and administering a noxious substance, and is currently in custody. Both the suspect and the deceased woman are acquainted.”
Authorities are conducting thorough investigations to unravel the circumstances surrounding the woman’s demise. Her next of kin have been notified. Residents are urged to approach local policing officers with any concerns, as inquiries continue in the area.
