Police are investigating after two men were caught on CCTV slashing beer lines at the WhiteCliffs Café in Saltdean shortly after midnight on 4 December.
Staff said the damage was discovered early this morning, and a review of the footage shows one of the suspects carrying what appears to be an 8–10 inch knife. The men caused two deep cuts to the beer lines during the incident.
Officers have visited the café and assessed the extent of the criminal damage. Sussex Police are now appealing for the public’s help in identifying the individuals responsible.
Investigators say that even if their faces are not clearly visible, people may recognise the gait, posture or body mannerisms of the two men seen on CCTV.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference 47250239833.
Enquiries remain ongoing.
