Police are urgently appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A22 Hailsham Road this morning (15 June).
Officers were dispatched to the scene shortly after 5am following reports of an incident involving a motorbike. Tragically, the motorcyclist, a 34-year-old man from Eastbourne, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The A22 remains closed in both directions as investigations continue and recovery operations are underway.
Police are working diligently to piece together the full circumstances surrounding the incident, which is believed to have occurred in the early hours of the morning.
