East Sussex Fire Rescue services were mobilised at around 3:30am Friday (13th of December 2023) to a fire in an outbuilding at The Horns Lodge derelict public house South Street, in South Chailey.
Uk power network has to switch off power on the local network from 5:10 am till mid-morning to carry out repairs safely.
A local resident said “woke up to what I thought sounded like someone chucking stuff off a truck fly tipping or kids smashing the tiles again and saw the fire”
