Residents in East Grinstead and surrounding areas are facing ongoing disruption to their mains water supply, with no water, intermittent supply or low pressure expected to continue until at least the end of the weekend, according to South East Water.
South East Water has apologised to affected customers, confirming that the situation is unlikely to improve before Sunday evening while urgent work continues across the network.

- Headcorn Aerodrome, Headcorn Aerodrome, Shenley Rd, Ashford TN27 9HX
Cause of the Disruption
South East Water said the issues are being caused by a combination of factors linked to Storm Goretti and recent cold weather.
The storm has affected the company’s ability to treat raw water at its main Sussex water treatment works, reducing output. At the same time, freeze-thaw conditions across the county have led to an outbreak of burst water mains, placing further strain on the network.
As a result, drinking water storage levels are currently running low.
Ongoing Updates
South East Water says engineers are working hard to restore normal supplies and has urged customers to check its website for live updates while repairs continue.
The company added it would continue to keep customers informed as the situation develops.
