In his statement, Ward said the company acknowledged previous “broken promises” and presented new plans for the development. He described the meeting as “a really positive step forward” and thanked residents for their ongoing efforts in holding the project to account.

Ward added that while progress has been made, there is still more work to do, and he pledged to continue advocating for the interests of Peacehaven residents.

The new plans by Morrisons are expected to address previous concerns raised by the community, although details of the revised development have yet to be made public.

Residents are encouraged to stay engaged and provide feedback on the proposals as discussions continue.
