The incident, which occurred at approximately 1 p.m., resulted in significant damage to the playground structures.
Eyewitnesses reported billowing smoke and intense flames emerging from the play area, which quickly attracted the attention of nearby residents and passersby. Concerned individuals swiftly dialed emergency services, and firefighters from East Sussex Fire Service were promptly dispatched to the scene.
