Sussex Roads Police are urging the community to come forward with any information following a tragic accident that claimed the life of a local resident. The collision, which occurred on Priory Road near The Bridge Community Centre around 1pm on Sunday, involved a motorcycle and a pedestrian.
The victim, a 65-year-old man from the area, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have notified his family of the heartbreaking incident.
In a subsequent development, a 25-year-old Hastings man was arrested in Wellington Place under suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail as investigations continue.
