The countryside around Ringmer and Lewes, East Sussex, England, was transformed into a moving display of festive colour as 80 illuminated tractors took part in this year’s Ringmer Christmas Tractor Charity Run.
Event organiser Sarah told Sussex News:
“The farmers came up with the goods – 80 tractors dressed with Christmas cheer. They do it for fun and to raise money for charity. This year we are sponsoring the Ringmer Memory Café. Also FCN, the Farming Community Network, who are nationwide supporting farmers 24/7.”
Thousands lined the route as the brightly lit convoy travelled through local villages, raising money and spreading Christmas cheer. The event received heartfelt feedback from spectators, including a message from one woman whose young nephew watched the parade, saying “It honestly was phenomenal.”
This year’s run supports two important causes:
- Ringmer Memory Café, helping people living with memory loss and their families.
- FCN – Farming Community Network, a national charity offering 24/7 support to farmers across the UK.
The popular annual event continues to grow in size and spirit, showcasing the dedication of the farming community and the strength of local support across East Sussex.
