Woman in her 70s dies at Peacehaven Cliffs

SECAmb, KSS Air Ambulance, Sussex Police, and Newhaven Coastguard units rushed to Peacehaven Cliffs around 2.45 pm on Thursday, 12th October, following distress calls about a woman’s welfare. The emergency teams, in a coordinated effort, reached the scene promptly, only to find a woman in her 70s unresponsive.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said “Emergency services were called to cliffs at Peacehaven at around 2.45 pm on Thursday (12 October) to concerns for the welfare of a woman.

A woman in her 70s was sadly confirmed dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”
