Yesterday evening (July 8, 2023) at 18:35, Shoreham Coastguard Team, in collaboration with Sussex Fire & Rescue and Littlehampton CG, responded to an emergency involving a small fishing boat that caught fire at Emerald Quay in Shoreham.
The Fire & Rescue team promptly extinguished the fire upon their arrival, while the Coastguards assessed ensured the safety of the boat. Fortunately, no serious injuries were sustained during the incident.
A spokesperson representing the West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service reported that fire crews from Shoreham and Hove promptly attended to a small boat that was fully ablaze on the slipway of Emerald Quay in Shoreham harbor.
