Sussex Police carried out a major drugs operation in Crawley on Sunday, August 10, 2025, resulting in eight arrests. The Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU) executed an early morning warrant at a property on High Street following intelligence about suspected drug dealing.
Officers entered the premises around 7:30 am and discovered eight individuals inside, though only one was linked to the address. Police seized suspected class A drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin, along with a quantity of cash.
All eight were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. Four suspects have since been released without further action, while four remain on bail pending further investigation. Those bailed include a 28-year-old man from Maidenbower, a 56-year-old woman from West Green, and two 23-year-old men from Crawley.
Inspector Adam McCaig from the Crawley Neighbourhood Policing Team said the operation was a direct response to community concerns. “We are determined to disrupt the supply of class A drugs, which cause so much harm in our communities,” he said. McCaig urged the public to continue reporting any information related to drug dealing, use, or anti-social behaviour in Crawley.
