Police are appealing for information following a reported hate crime incident in Castle Square, Brighton.
The incident took place on Sunday evening, July 20, at around 7.20pm. A woman in her 20s was walking in the area when she was allegedly approached by a man who subjected her to verbal abuse, including racist language.
Officers have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident. He is sought to assist with ongoing enquiries, and police are urging the public to come forward if they recognise him or have any information that could help the investigation.
Anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have relevant CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage, is encouraged to get in touch.

Police have reiterated that hate crimes will not be tolerated and are being treated with the utmost seriousness.
