Newhaven Lifeboat was paged at this Sunday Afternoon to a 40ft sailing boat in trouble with engine failure requiring assistance.
Newhaven Lifeboat Said “We were launched on service at 13.20 to assess their situation near Birling Gap.”
“A tow was agreed as the safest course of action. The Lifeboat successfully delivered the casualty vessel to Newhaven harbour where the yacht and her crew were met by Newhaven Coastguard Rescue Team.”
