Police Continue Enquiries After Teen Injured in Park

A woman sought in connection with a violent dog attack on a 16-year-old in Bexhill has now come forward

A 16-year-old boy was left bloodied and traumatised after being attacked by two aggressive dogs—believed to be Dobermans—while playing basketball in Barrack Hall Park, Bexhill, at around 7.30pm on Saturday, June 7.

The teenager sustained multiple injuries to his legs and arms before bystanders bravely intervened and halted the attack. Shockingly, the dogs’ owners reportedly responded with verbal abuse towards those who stepped in to help.

The boy’s father took him to hospital, where he was treated and later discharged. He continues to recover at home.

Following a public appeal, Sussex Police confirmed that a woman they wished to speak with in connection to the incident has now come forward.

An investigation remains ongoing, and officers are urging anyone who witnessed the attack or has relevant CCTV or mobile footage from the area to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 368 of 07/06.
