A breakthrough has in the case of a brutal assault on a railway staffer at the Crawley railway station. A 15-year-old male has been apprehended in connection with the incident that took place on 25 June 2023.
The British Transport Police (BTP) had previously released a photo appeal seeking information from the public after an assailant attacked a member of station staff, leaving them with multiple injuries.
Sergeant Stephen Oram of BTP said: “Following a successful media appeal, a 15-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent following the assault on a member of railway staff at Crawley railway station on the 25 June 2023.
“The detective investigating the incident has submitted a file to the Crown Prosecution Service who will now review all the evidence collected and decide how to proceed.”
