UPDATED CLEARED: A23 closed southbound closed at Pease Pottage southbound due to an overturned caravan

Update 1am – Scene cleared after an earlier overturned caravan.

The A23 has been closed this evening Wednesday 4th of January 2022 Southbound between the M23 Pease Pottage and the B2110 at Handcross due to a collision involving a van towing a caravan.

The Central reservation barrier damage was reported and a large amount of debris across all lanes.

Highways South East said, “Traffic is being diverted via the exit and entry slip roads of J11.”
