Delays of around 30 minutes for traffic heading through Peacehaven due to on going Gasworks

Temporary Three Way Traffic Lights on the A259 in Peacehaven on the junction of Seaview Avenue are causing traffic to queue for up to 30 minutes this rush hour to get through,

SGN put up temporary traffic lights at Chrismas for emergency works which ever since has caused long delays on the A259.

A diversion route along Arundel road is not possible due to it being closed by Southern Water for planned works.

As of 4:30pm today, 03/01/22 Traffic is queuing from the Peacehaven Golf Course heading West and Telscombe Cliffs Heading East.

SGN has a person manually controlling the lights in rush hour to try and improve the traffic flow.

SGN has a work permit till the 6th of January and SGN has not assigned a specific description to this work on the traffic order.
