Pulborough: Fire service responding to gas leak after unconfirmed reports of a car hitting a gas main

Unconfirmed reports of a collision with a car and a gas main on the right-hand side of the road up the hill, past the Elite Garage

West Sussex fire Sevice said at 9:57 pm this evening of 04th of January 2023

“Crews from Billinghurst and Petworth are dealing with a gas leak in Church Hill, Pulborough.

Nearby premises are currently being evacuated – please avoid traveling into the area and if nearby, keep your doors and windows shut.”

Update from WSFRS 22:55 “The gas supply has now been isolated and inspections of the gas main are taking place.

Just one crew from Billingshurst Fire Station remains at the scene.”
