On Monday, Ryanair flight RUK973 departed from Manchester at 2:20 pm and was bound for Alicante. However, the flight experienced an unexpected turn of events when a passenger onboard fell ill, prompting the pilot to make an emergency landing at Gatwick Airport.
In response to the incident, a spokesperson for Ryanair commented, “The passenger was offloaded for further treatment, and the flight continued to Alicante, departing Gatwick Airport at 4:30 pm local time.”
Passengers who were on board the flight were reportedly surprised by the unexpected landing, but ultimately arrived at their destination in Alicante later that day.
