At around 7:30 pm yesterday evening, authorities were alerted to a situation involving a woman brandishing a machete on Crawley High Street. Security personnel confronted the individual, who subsequently relinquished the weapon. The machete was promptly secured and confiscated by the police.
However, the woman managed to depart from the location before police officers reached the scene. Efforts are now underway to locate and identify her for further discussion regarding the incident.
The individual in question is described as a black woman, believed to be around 60 years of age, with a height of roughly 5’4″. At the time, she was clad in a beige cardigan and a grey top.
Authorities are appealing for public assistance in this matter. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward, citing reference 47230200888 when contacting law enforcement.
