Woman charged after Brighton pub burglary

A woman has been charged following a burglary at a pub in Brighton.

Police were called to Prince Albert Street around 9pm on Thursday, October 31, after reports of a theft at the premises. Officers arrested 46-year-old Dolores Almeida de Veiga, of Tavistock Place, Camden, London, at the scene.

She was later charged with burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal and appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on November 1.

Almeida de Veiga was granted bail and is due to appear in court again on December 4.

Sussex Police confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing.
