Police are appealing for help to identify a man following a reported racially aggravated assault in a Crawley supermarket.

The incident happened inside the Iceland store in Queens Square, Crawley, on 19 December. Sussex Police say a dispute broke out in a queue involving a woman who was with her baby son and a man inside the store. The woman was reportedly subjected to a racially aggravated common assault.

Officers are continuing their investigation and have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The man is described as being in his 40s or 50s, around 5ft 6in tall, and wearing a light blue baseball cap, a grey hooded top, and a green military-style camouflage jacket.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, recognises the man, or has any information which could assist the investigation to come forward.
