A 42-year-old man from Worthing has been arrested after a woman was raped in the early hours of Saturday, 25 October.
Police say the attack happened between 3am and 4am in the Chatsworth Road area. Officers quickly carried out searches and made an arrest. The man is now in police custody.
Detective Inspector Gary Jacobs said police are supporting the victim and keeping extra patrols in the area to reassure the public.
Officers are asking anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage from around that time to come forward. They can contact police online or call 101, quoting Op Morley.
Police are continuing to investigate and have thanked local people for their help so far.
