A man has died after falling from a hot air balloon in West Sussex.
Emergency services were called shortly after 9.20am on Friday (19 September) following reports that a passenger had fallen from a balloon flying over Newpound Common in Wisborough Green, near Billingshurst.
Sussex Police confirmed that the body of a man was discovered in a nearby field at around 1.50pm. He has not yet been formally identified.
The hot air balloon, which was travelling with a group of passengers from Billingshurst to Dunsfold in Surrey, continued its journey after the incident.
