Police investigating a series of thefts from vehicles in Felpham, Bognor Regis, have arrested two men.
Officers were called on Friday (15 August) following reports of men breaking into cars in the area. Both suspects, aged 42 and of no fixed abode, were quickly located and arrested.
The men have since been recalled to prison as enquiries into the incidents continue.
Police are now urging motorists to take extra steps to protect their vehicles from opportunistic thieves. Simple measures include:
- Parking in busy, well-lit areas
- Avoiding leaving items such as bags, wallets, jackets, or valuables inside vehicles
- Always ensuring windows and doors are locked
Anyone who witnessed the incidents, or who believes they may have been a victim of theft but has not yet reported it, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 1608 of 15/08.
