Hastings: Police Respond to Armed Confrontation on Southdown Avenue

Sussex Police were called to Southdown Avenue, Hastings after a report emerged of a man being threatened by a group armed with weapons. The incident, which occurred just before 3 pm on Sunday, 7th January, saw the victim narrowly escape harm as he managed to get into his vehicle and drive off.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said “The man had driven off and was unharmed. Armed response units attended the scene and carried out a search of the area but no suspects were found.”

Sussex Police have urged anyone who might have witnessed the incident or have any relevant information to come forward. Reports can be made online or by ringing 101, quoting serial 602 of 07/01.
