Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered three individuals—a 38-year-old woman and two minors, ages 10 and 13—within the premises, all of whom required immediate medical attention. They were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for their conditions.

The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Jilumol George, a 38-year-old resident of Hunters Way, Uckfield. George faces serious allegations, including two counts of attempted murder and two counts of administering poison with the intent to endanger life or inflict grievous bodily harm.

Following her arrest, George was brought before the Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, February 10. During her court appearance, she was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before a crown court on Friday, March 8, for further proceedings related to these grave charges.

Speaking on behalf of Sussex PoliceChief Inspector Mark Evans said: “I want to reassure the local community that this is an isolated incident, and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with it.

“This is a fast moving investigation and there will be an increased police presence in the area over the next few days, however I am satisfied there is no wider risk to the public.”
