Vehicle Veers Off Shoreham A27 in Wet Conditions

Today, emergency services responded to an incident where a car strayed off the westbound lane of the A27 Shoreham Bypass, around midday. This happened on the slip road that merges into the A27.

Witnesses reported that the car skidded due to wet conditions, causing it to leave the road.

Three fire engines arrived quickly, leading to a temporary closure of the slip road for the vehicle’s safe removal.

Despite attracting attention, the incident didn’t cause significant traffic disruptions.

An ambulance was sent as a precaution, but no injuries were reported.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has yet to make an official statement.

Authorities urge drivers to be careful in bad weather to maintain safety on the roads. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
