A driver had a miraculous escape this afternoon on the A283 between Dacre Gardens and Shoreham. A high-sided heavy goods vehicle (HGV) struck a tree branch, causing it to detach and collide with a passing car.
The incident occurred in the early afternoon and could have resulted in far more serious consequences. Fortunately, the driver of the car emerged unscathed, but the vehicle sustained significant damage.
