Rowdy easyJet Flight Passengers Booted at Gatwick

isruptive behavior leads to police escort from an easyJet plane at Gatwick Airport.

Early Wednesday morning, two passengers were escorted off an easyJet flight from Tenerife South to London Gatwick by Sussex Police, much to the cheers of their fellow travelers. The flight, which landed at 2 AM, witnessed the removal of the duo who were allegedly intoxicated and disruptive throughout the journey.

Witnesses on board described the pair as “rowdy” after they consumed a significant amount of duty-free vodka. The situation escalated to the point where police intervention was necessary upon the plane’s arrival. A passenger, who captured the incident on video later shared by Mail Online, said, “A police officer emptied the passenger’s handbag onto the tarmac and a 1-liter vodka bottle that appeared to be almost empty fell out.”

In response to the incident, an easyJet spokesperson stated, “We can confirm that flight EZS8036 from Tenerife to London Gatwick this morning was met by police on arrival due to a passenger behaving disruptively onboard. EasyJet’s cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.”

The spokesperson added, “Whilst such incidents are rare, we take them very seriously and do not tolerate disruptive behavior onboard. The safety and well-being of passengers and crew is always easyJet’s highest priority.”

We understand following the incident, the passengers were spoken to by Sussex Police officers and given words of advice before they continued on their onward journey.
