Shoreham lifeboat responds to medical emergency on yacht

Shoreham Lifeboat was called into action on Saturday afternoon, responding to a distress call as a crew member aboard a 33ft yacht suffered a medical emergency. The vessel had broken down four miles southwest of Shoreham.

Once located two lifeboat crew members boarded the yacht to assess and provide immediate medical aid. They remained onboard while the Shoreham Lifeboat towed the vessel to Littlehampton, where it was handed over to the Littlehampton lifeboat crew for further assistance.

Once in the harbor, the injured crew member received prompt attention from awaiting ambulance medics, ensuring their well-being and necessary medical care.
